Craft Day with Emily

This last Saturday I met at Emily’s for craft day. It had been a long time since we did craft time together and I was in need of some solid time to devote to it, as I’m sure she was as well. I made 14 cards and I think Emily beat me by a few. They are too cute. Here are a few of my creations from craft time…

During our time together, Emily made a cake for a girl at church, so I helped out (kindof) by prepping the pan for optimum removal

while she mixed up the chocolate pumpkin goodness that was the cake batter.

After realizing there was way too much batter for the pans, Emily made a few cupcakes.

And they sure were tasty. She sent me home with a few to share with the family. Props to her. Good recipe.

Craft day was awesome. I accomplished much and had a really fun time while we listened to Christmas music. Yes, in September, but who says Christmas in July is the only other acceptable time for festive tunes?

Emily and I kept grabbing our cameras to document things that we were doing. It was funny. At one point we both were pointing the camera at the cupcakes at the same time, so i suggested we take a picture of each other to show how camera oriented we were that day. fun times.

I have to make a point of scrapbooking next time I feel like doing crafts. I haven’t actually SCRAPBOOKED since the LAST time I met at Emily’s for craft day. SAD ASHLEY. Sad. This will have to change.

I love it! I so needed a craft day. I am up for another one soon of actual scrapbooking. I've not scrapped in awhile but not as long as you. So let's plan another day. I do think those cupcakes were quite exceptional. The frosting turned out pretty good too. I'll have to post it soon. I need to go practice the piano and go to bed.
