I watched "Julie and Julia" with mom today and I may never be the same. My new favorite movie. Watch it, I KNOW you'll love it.
I wish I could say that this is one of those posts where I say
now i'm going to work my way through Julia Child's cookbook in a year and become a chef and change the world!!!but sadly, today is just a regular wednesday, I am still regular Ashley and I will go on cooking like usual and working through life as an ordinary person who doesn't win huge prizes or write huge books (and I think i'm okay with that).
No, I was just plain old inspired by this movie. Inspired to get up, find my favorite cookbook and make hamburger soup and wheat germ cornbread for dinner. It's the little things. I can be a hero in a small way. I can cook dinner for the family without consulting mom about what she'd like it to be. This dinner is on me, mom. :)
I was also inspired to blog more. Inspired to look at my talents as something more than every day happenings. These things i've been blessed with being able to do are SOMETHING special.
So here's to hoping I can keep up with a regular update about what i'm feeling and put it out there for people to read and maybe I too can teach someone something or put a smile on a face because life truly is about the little things.

You have been blessed with a multitude of gifts and talents and you use them to serve others as well. Love you more....... my sweet Ashley!
